Ambassador Minelik Presents Credential to Austria's president

Addis Ababa, February 3, 2012 (Addis Ababa) - Ambassador Minelik Alemu, Ethiopian Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva and of International organizations in Switzerland presented his letter of credence to Austrian President, the Ministry of ForeignAffairs said.

The Ambassador gave his credential to Austria's president Heinz Fischer at a ceremony held recently, according to a press statement the Ministry sent to ENA on Friday.

While receiving the credential, Fischer expressed appreciation to Ethiopia for its efforts geared towards the consolidation of peace and stability in the African region.

He said his country is keen to strengthen its relations with Ethiopia.

Speaking on his part Ambassador Minelik told the Austrian President that Ethiopia has been registering encouraging results in economic development.

He briefed the president the prevalence of good investment atmosphere in Ethiopia where potential Austrian investors can enjoy doing business in the country.
